- Static Cling window films should be applied to the exterior (outside) surface of the window to avoid heat
buildup between the panes causing thermal stress (glass breakage). - Static Cling can be applied to the interior (inside) surface to single pane glass or plastic.
- Static Cling is extremely durable and is made to withstand exterior application under the most severe
weather conditions.
- Measure glass and cut film 1/2” larger than actual glass surface.
- Spray the window with a soapy water solution, and also spray the surface of the film.
- Apply: Starting at the top, apply film to window.
- Squeegee: Spray the surface of the film and firmly squeegee out the excess air and moisture from
between the film and glass. - Trim: Allow approximately 20 to 30 minutes of drying time. Using a ruler, press the film to the inside edge
of the window frame. Place the utility knife along the edge of the ruler and trim off the excess film. - Touch up: Spray the surface of the window again and squeegee the edge firmly against the glass. Any
excess moisture should evaporate within a few days. - The window film may take longer to set-up and/or completely dry out during the winter months.
